Euler's identity

Euler's identity, eiπ+1=0e^{i\pi}+1=0, ties together five fundamental constants in one line.

It falls straight out of eiθ=cosθ+isinθe^{i\theta}=\cos\theta+i\sin\theta when you set θ=π\theta=\pi.

The step from eiθe^{i\theta} to the identity finally clicked for me here.

Would love a follow-up on why eiθe^{i\theta} traces the unit circle.

Good idea — I will write that one next.
